This webinar was originally scheduled for August 19 but moved to September 16 due to recent updates in the proposed Rural Health Fund application timeline.

As part of H.R. 1—the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”—Section 71401 establishes a Rural Health Transformation Program, allocating $50 billion to support rural healthcare providers. This funding will be distributed over five years, with $10 billion available annually from FY 2026 through FY 2030.

Each state must submit an application that includes a Rural Health Transformation Plan in order to access its share of the funds. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will review and approve or deny these applications based on a pre-determined allocation methodology, with final decisions issued by December 31, 2025.
